Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do I submit a question or suggestion to GEF?

Submissions may be sent in the
following ways:

Email: gef@gunteredforum.com
Mailing Adress: P.O. Box 875,
Gunter Texas 75058
Voice mail: available soon

Note: Please do not contact any GEF organizers
personally to submit questions or suggestions.Submissions
may be made by e-mail or U.S. mail.

2. Do I have to include my name with my submission?

No. Names of those who send in comments will
never be included nor revealed.

3. Is GEF associated with the Gunter ISD?

No. While we consider ourselves partners with the school,
and while the school has our enthusiastic support, no one
at Gunter ISD was involved in the creation, planning or
implementation of GEF. However, Superintendent Rick
Cohagan and Assistant Superintendent Kevin Worthy
have both expressed their support of GEF.

4. Will every question be answered?

Probably not. Every reasonable question will be dealt with,
but those involving complaints regarding teachers or
coaches which can be handled between the parent and the
school will be considered none of the public's business.
Any comment which slanders an employee of the school
will be tossed out. Here are the steps followed in
processing submissions:

a. Questions and suggestions are submitted to GEF via
e-mail, mail, or voice mail.
b. GEF organizers combine, edit, or rephrase submissions,
and dispose of inappropriate comments.
c. GEF submits questions to GISD.
d. GISD responds to the questions, and GEF posts the
answers to this website.

5. How will you handle it within your group if gossip or
rumors are spread from concerns that are sent to you?

GEF refuses to post any questions that can be interpreted
as slanderous. Rumors do not flourish due to transparency
and information, but rather due to secrecy and
misinformation. GEF is proud to help open the door to
communication.

6.Will you be limiting how many questions you send to
the school? It seems that it could take valuable time from
employees who already have a very busy schedule

GEF organizers are sensitive to this potential issue, which
is why this concern has been previously discussed with
GISD. The administration has agreed to notify GEF in the
event our questions become too time consuming.

7.Does the Gunter ISD website not already answer any
questions we may have for the school?

Come to your own conclusions based on what you see
here.
